Weekly Summary

Sunday Summary

Welcome back to our Sunday Summary Series where we review the stories that were covered throughout the week.

This was a busy week for me with a lot going on. Hopefully, I will be able to get some more material up next week, including a new menu option! Thanks for following along!

Sunday Summary

Mileage Running

Mileage Running actually has nothing to do with running, as we know it, yet there is some haste involved! Mileage running involves flying for the purpose of earning miles and this post gives an overview of why one would want to do that and what it entails. See if it sounds interesting to you!

Tuesday Tools and Tips – GPS Watches

GPS watches have become a staple of the runner’s gear pack. When they first came out, they were more of a rarity and luxury than they are now. They are packed with some many features and the market is packed with so many of them it is hard to know which to make as your running partner. Do you have one? If not, check this out to see a list of the ones available now.

Boston Marathon Fundraising – UPDATE

A couple of weeks ago, I had mentioned that I was going to give all of my credit card referrals to the One Fund Boston to help with the families of those affected. There were many links clicked on, but no revenue from them as of yet (which means that the individual either wasn’t approved, they haven’t posted yet, or the individual never filled out the application). Hopefully, we will see something from it and I will let you know what was raised!

Credit Card Applications – Rachel’s Round

My wife, Rachel, applied for a few cards this week. In this post, I did a rundown on which cards, why, and the results of the applications. It is always a little bit of a rush when we do applications to see what we get approved for and what we know we have coming our way for points and miles in the coming weeks/months. I will have another round coming soon that will be my application round. Check out this post to see what Rachel applied for and the reasons for the cards.

Junk Mail Saturday

A scam has resurfaced that you should be on the lookout for. People need to be careful of some of the things that come in the mail after you begin applying for credit cards. Make sure you send some of the “junk mail” offers you get here so we can post the good, the bad, and the ugly so others can know what to look for!
