 Sunday Summary

Platinum Delta Skymiles Card – Up to 25,000 Award Miles and 10,000 Elite Miles

In my opinion, the middle card of the Delta/Amex family, the Platinum Delta Amex card, is the best. If gives quite a lot for only $55 more than the basic Delta card. This post is about a better than normal offer that will help you to collect more elite miles from the bonus.

35% Transfer Bonus from Membership Rewards to British Airways

This is not the best transfer bonus that Amex has offered to British Airways’ Avios, but it is definitely a decent offer. The Avios program is a distance based program so there are some real award gems with them. With this transfer bonus offer, you only need 6,700 Membership Reward points for short-haul flights on American Airlines (like, Rochester, NY – Chicago).

Boston Marathon Fundraising

Please, please, make sure you read this post! Last Monday, I announced that all of my affiliate income on Running with Miles through Monday would go to the One Fund Boston to help the families who have been affected by the Boston Marathon bombing. I am going to give every cent of the money earned on the site to this fund. So, you can sign up for some great cards, get excellent bonuses, and know that you are helping out these families at the same time. Best yet, it won’t cost you a penny! This post gives links for all of my affiliate cards so you can know which cards to sign up for to help.

Deal Alert: Garmin Forerunner 310XT with heart rate monitor for $139

This is a fantastic watch and this is a bottom price on this (refurb) GPS watch. You can absolutely not go wrong with this watch! It is no longer available at this price, but make sure you keep following the blog so that you can know the next time some deal comes up!

Tuesday Tools and Tips: Evreward.com

Evreward.com is a fantastic source to use to know which shopping portals give the best bonuses for your next purchases or from your select online stores. Don’t shop  online without it!

What’s the Deal With Fare Classes? (or,why are these flights so expensive?)

You will be amazing at how complex the ticketing situation is for the seat that you will sit in on your next flight. The airline might charge up to 15 different prices for that same seat. Read this to try and figure out why ticket prices change when there are seats still available.

American Express Platinum Card

I had written about this card a while before, but in light of the fact that I am giving all of the affiliate income from these cards through Monday, I thought it would be good to refresh your memory about what you get with these cards.

Pay For a Marathon with Miles!

Believe it or not, you can actually pay for some of the marathons with miles. This is an interesting opportunity, especially if you have miles you may not use but you want to run one of the included marathons. Great idea!

Starwood Preferred Guest American Express Card

I had written about this card a while before, but in light of the fact that I am giving all of the affiliate income from these cards through Monday, I thought it would be good to refresh your memory about what you get with these cards.

Delta American Express Credit Cards

I had written about this card a while before, but in light of the fact that I am giving all of the affiliate income from these cards through Monday, I thought it would be good to refresh your memory about what you get with these cards.

Hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to a good one!
